Attaching the pedals to the pedal pan

Attaching the pedal to the pedal pan can really help with the stability of the stand and also makes it easier to store the stand. The pedals for Logitech steering wheels (except the Logitech G25) and the Microsoft wireless racing wheel will flip right up and clear the floor bar. This makes it very handy to store and carry your stand.
You can use double sided tape or Velcro pads to stick the pedals to the pan or you can drill holes in the pan and screw the pedals right to the pan from the bottom.

Drilling the Pan for the Logitech Driving Force Pro & GT Pedals

To drill the Logitech Driving Force Pro and Logitech Driving Force GT pedals to anchor them to the Pedal pan. Take the pedal pan off the stand by pulling the pedal pan pin out. With the pedal pan off the stand measure down from the pedal stop (pedal stop is the 3/16" round bar welded to the end of the pedal pan to stop the pedal from sliding forward) on the top of the pedal pan 6-3/4 inches down from where the pedals stop and 1-1/2 inches from the edge of the pan over on both sides of the pedal pan and make a mark to drill. Drill the two holes with a 9/64ths drill bit through the pedal pan. Then put the pedals upside down on the floor or a table with bottom pointing up. Center the pedals on the pedal pan. I used a black marker and made a mark on the pedals where they fit on the pan stop in the center. Lay a tape measure across the end of the pedals it is about 9-1/2 inches wide on the end that fits up to the pedal stop. Make a mark at the 4-3/4 inch mark on the pedals. Then put a mark on the center of the pan where they meet. Pedal pans are usually 11-15/16 to 12 inches wide. Make a mark on the pedal stop at the middle of the pan (6 inches) on the end where you can see it. Then lay the pan on the pedals upside down so they match, pedals and pedal stop. Line these marks up to center pedals on stop end. Then measure over under the pan on both sides of the other end and make these measurements the same. Should be around 5/8 of an inch. This will center the pedals on the opposite end of the pedal stop. Then drill a couple of 3/32 inch holes down through the pedal pan holes you drilled into the plastic bottom of the pedals, trying to center the holes. Drilling in this area is fine if you have the pedals centered on the pan, there are no components inside the pedals where you are drilling. Use a number 6 by 1/2 or 3/4 inch long pan head sheet metal screws and screw the pan to the pedals. Use number 6 screws so if something goes wrong you can always go bigger without any problem. Then put the pedal pan and pedals back on the stand with the pan pin. This will allow you to carry and store the stand without loosing the pedals.

Drilling the Pan for the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel

To drill the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel pedals to anchor them to the Pedal pan. Take the pedal pan off the stand by pulling the pedal pan pin out. With the pedal pan off the stand measure down from the pedal stop (pedal stop is the 3/16" round bar welded to the end of the pedal pan to stop the pedal from sliding forward) on the top of the pedal pan 6 inches down from where the pedals stop and 1-3/8 inches from the edge of the pan over on both sides of the pedal pan and make a mark to drill. Drill the two holes with a 9/64ths drill bit through the pedal pan. Then put the pedals upside down on the floor or a table with bottom pointing up. You will need to center the pedals on the pedal pan before drilling into pedals. On the front side of the pedals at the pedal stop the wire coming out is the center of the pedals. The pedal pans are  usually 11-15/16 to 12 inches wide. Make a mark on the pedal stop at the middle of the pan (6 inches) on the end where you can see it. Then lay the pan on the pedals upside down so they match, pedals and pedal stop. Line the pedal wire up to center mark of pedal pan on stop end you marked. Then measure the amount of pedal sticking out past the sides on the other end of the pedal pan on both sides and make these measurements the same. Should be around 1/4 of an inch sticking out on both sides. Use a number 6 by 1/2  inch long pan head sheet metal screws (supplied with the adapter kit) and screw the pan to the pedals. Use number 6 screws so if something goes wrong you can always go bigger without any problem. Then put the pedal pan and pedals back on the stand with the pan pin. This will allow you to carry and store the stand without loosing the pedals.

Drilling the Pan for the Logitech DriveFX Racing Wheel

For the logitech DriveFX pedal pan drilling. Use the same instructions as above but drill 5 7/8" down from where the pedal stop and 2 3/16" over from each side and drill the hole for screws. Be sure to center the pedals in the pedal pan before drilling into pedals. Use 6x1/2 pan head screws.
